I had many relatives and associates there and can still remember many adventures and other stories that I heard from my parents, uncles, cousins, and other relationships. Would like to hear from other Jerome natives and share experiences and memories. Thank you.
Roy Jimenez rjime532@aol.com (San Jose, CA)

Comment on Jerome Memories

My name is Jerome, I am an African living in Africa and now on holiday in Minneapolis where I have just ended my stay. My Mother and her 2 brothers lived there from 1917 to 1953. There last names were Isais or Ysais the spelling of the last name could have been either way. They've all passed away now and I'm looking for history on small mine owners or family members that lived in Jerome in the early 1920's.
Anyone looking for Baptism
information that were Baptized at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jerome can find the Baptismal records in Cottonwood at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church off Hwy 89A. It's currently using a temporary building the address is 700 North Bill Gray Road, Cottonwood
Hope this help.

Comment on Jerome 1976 by Joseph Holcombe

In reading about Jerome I found myself captivated by the posting on the blog. I noticed that all posts are by Allen Muma. Jerome 1976 by unknown Author
Posted by Allen Muma at 4/22/2008 6:35 AM.

I have driven through Jerome a few years ago while returning from the Grand Canyon to Laughlin, NV. I live in CT and have traveled west to Arizona a few times a year. That accidental drive through Jerome left me with a void for knowledge and it's history. I did some reading but have been re-energized by the stories here. I will be hiking in the Canyon this Sept. and would love to talk with someone that can share some experiences with me.
Phil Gutkin pgutkin@optonline.net

Comment on Living In Jerome

i am in tn., and in tears because my hubby and son are in jerome at this second, taking pics of where i trod as a child. i have always dreamed of being with them on their first look at jerome, but a fluke has them there without me. i lived there, on the hogback, in a house that wasnt strong enough to hold a piano, across the street from.. well maybe i shouldnt say their names, but a well to do family that owned a grocery store in cottonwood. my mom tried to run a very small flower shop on the hogback. this was from about 1959 -1964. my father taught at the mingus high school. my 4 brothers went to muhs. (i know there is a blog for that high school). i know my son and hubby are now taking dozens of pics of fabulous jerome, as i sit here typing, reliving the memories..... and... there is no reason why, i can not return with them, and really, SHOULD HAVE BY NOW! thanks for reading this.....

Comment on Living In Jerome

I was born in Jerome in 1932 would like
to correspond with anyone who went to school there my class of 1951 was the last to graduate from Jerome High before
moving to Clarkdale I moved to Los
Angeles in 1945 but still remember the
good times I had as a child there

Comment on Living In Jerome

Yes there is a Catholic Church in Jerome
I was baptized in it in 1932 it has since
been rebuilt and restored when I last
visited in 1989 Most of the history is
now I believe in Phoenix where I had to
apply for a duplicate baptism certificate
good luck in your search

Comment on Living In Jerome

Im from Chicago and moved to Phoenix about 8mos.ago when I visited Phoenix for the first time I herd of this town called Jerome and knew I had to go.
